Welcome to my website! It contains information about me, my research and my personal interests. Currently still under construction, so you’ll have to forgive the mildly chaotic feel.
I am currently a PhD student at the department of methodology at the University of Amsterdam.
Before getting into graduate school, I studied psychology, and some philosophy, at the University of Amsterdam. During my studies, I spent half a year at the University of Otago. Upon returning, I entered the research master’s program at the University of Amsterdam.
For my final research project, I spent half a year at the Kosslyn lab at Harvard University. I enjoyed myself so much I worked in the Kosslyn lab in Boston for an additional year as a research fellow.
Finally, I returned to Amsterdam to start my PhD at the methodology department of the University of Amsterdam. You can read more about the work I am currently engaged in in the research tab.
In addition to research I have a variety of other interests and hobbies. I am an editor for a satirical website that you can find here. I’m also an avid sports player. I play competitive tennis for T.C. Roomburg, and am shared tournament director of the yearly Open Leidse Tenniskampioenschappen, that bring some of Holland’s best players to Leiden. In addition, I frequently engage in indoor soccer competition, where our team, the FEBO green lizzards, may very well have the ugliest outfit of the whole USC competition. Possibly fiercest of all is the table tennis competition on the fifth floor of Roeterseiland.
